Well, the Montego won't disappoint, with its modern interior layout cleverly designed for maximum space and functionability in the saloon and its large practical aft cockpit.
The master cabin is lined in padded vinyl fabric with traditional vee berth convertable to a double bed with a filler cushion. Plushness ensures no compromise for comfort in the cruiser.
The starboard galley has been designed with the ladies in mind: a U shaped bench at a good working height, spring loaded lids covering the stainless steel hot and cold sink and the 2 burner stainless steel stove, giving extra working bench space. Refrigerator, microwave, cupboard storage, cutlery drawer and crockery cabinet with cuprack are all standard.
With 6'4" (1.93 metre) headroom in the galley and saloon, the padded heat stretched vinyl embraces the open airy feeling of this roomy cruiser which comes standard with lock-up saloon cabin doors separating the cockpit area and securing the cruiser.
Portside is a large comfortable dinette raised on a plinth with seating for four on fabric upholstered cushions. The table unclips to a lower height forming a double bed with a filler cushion. An icebox and day stowage under the seat make full use of all available space.
A 2 person thickly upholstered settee in the saloon lounge with stowage under adds to the impressive surroundings, creating a separate social area from the aft cockpit group of friends.
Perfect for entertaining dockside or on the water, the 280 Montego's spacious cockpit allows a dual function. A wet bar and sink can be added for the recreational cruisers with an abundance of seating available across the moulded engine cover or the engine cover can be shortened to benefit the fisherman's access to the corner of the cruiser. Access to the large marlin board swim platform ladder is via the transom door/opening.
The flybridge is accessed via the cockpit ladder where a full array of controls and instruments greets you to a convenient layout console and seating for guests.
For weather protection, the Montego comes with a full set of acrylic weather covers.
