The modern, beautifully styled 290 Sportiva Sedan Hardtop gives greater environmental weather and UV protection from the elements, combined with an impressive single or twin sterndrive performance on any water.
A true bluewater boat, the specific hull design of solid fibreglass construction gives more than the required strength to handle the rugged choppy conditions experienced in its offshore home waters, where 95% of Western Australian recreational boating is done. The design also ensures a dry, durable, stable and smooth ride, with excellent directional stability and response with the hydraulic power assisted steering on the quarter or in following seas.
Overnight accommodation is a luxury in unsurpassed comfort with oversize double bed and queen bed in the mid cabin. Full height lined hanging robe, storage cupboards, shelving are all in a baked, hardened furniture lacquer with high gloss exterior finish complemented with heat-stretched vinyl and colour co-ordinated fabrics. The 290 Sportiva head and shower are incorporated in a fibreglass moulded module with high gloss finish. There is 2 metres of headroom, a roomy hot and cold shower and stainless steel vanity basin and cabinet.
An ergonomically designed command station and saloon cockpit provides an adjustable dual helm chair styled in high density foam with excellent seated vision all round, with instrumentation and controls positioned for direct viewing and comfortable operation, either standing or seated.
A raised side-facing curved lounge portside meets with a fixed lower crescent-shaped seat incorporating an icebox, which adds to the social area. A foldaway L-shaped portable table can be stowed away. The transom lounge makes a perfect on the water area for socialising and entertaining for overnight or extended stays.
For coolness in the hot Australian climate, the gally is designed upstairs, preventing cooking odours and residue polluting the fabrics. Provided as standard are a refrigerator, microwave, hot and cold water at a stainless steel sink, crockery cabinet, alcohol cooker and cupboard space.
The Sportiva 290's aft cockpit with foldaway transom lounge seating gives greater space for the recreational diver and fisherman, with easy access through the transom door to the integrally moulded marlin board swim platform. Cockpit shower, covered rope and fender deck locker are all standard.
