Topside, the 290's command station and cockpit provide a well laid out arrangement with an adjustable dual helm seat. The stylish instrument and electronics console, and conveniently placed controls with hydraulic power assisted steering offer excellent vision, both standing and seated.
A raised portside curved lounge seats 3-4 persons with crescent-shaped icebox seating for another 2. A starboard full service galley with refrigerator, microwave, stove, hot and cold water, crockery cabinet and cupboard space makes the on-deck galley facility a feature. Preparing meals in the fresh air means no cooking odours and residue polluting fabrics below deck.
The 290 Sportiva aft section of the cockpit incorporates a foldaway L-shaped transom lounge seating for 4-5 guests, giving greater space for recreational divers and fishermen when folded with access through the transom door to the integrally moulded marlin swim platform. Cockpit shower, covered rope and fender deck locker are all standard. A stylish radar tower arch supports the fully enclosed all weather cover which can be folded back to take in the sun, tan your skin, feel the wind in your hair or just sit about with friends and socialise dockside.
Below decks is just as impressive, with plenty of ventilation for overnight or extended accommodation. The luxury is unsurpassed, with comfortable oversize double bed and queen bed for friends in the mid cabin. Full height lined hanging robe, storage, cupboards and shelving are all in a baked hardened furniture lacquer with high gloss exterior finish complemented with heat-stretched vinyl and colour co-ordinated fabrics. The 290 Sportiva head and shower are incorporated in a fibreglass moulded module with high gloss interior finish, 2 metres headroom, roomy hot and cold shower and a vanity with stainless steel basin and cabinet.
