LEEDER TOMCAT

Floor Plan and Photos       Specifications       Standard and Optional Features

The Leeder 240 Tom Cat is not just your average fishing/dive boat but is the very latest in computerised design technology, combined with Leeder years of commercial construction and experience in manufacturing 50-60ft lobster and commercial fishing craft. It is, in fact, the most recent release of a purpose-built fibreglass fishing/dive craft on the Australian market.
This boat is tough, utilising vinyl ester resin skins, fibreglass cloth and woven rovings for added strength and lightness. Not only is it tough, it's constructed to stringent Australian and Uniform Shipping Law (U.S.L.) Standards, modified for recreational fishing and diving. No wood or aluminium to corrode, rot or crack in this baby!
Whilst protecting the integrity of the vessel, the design team came up with -all-moulded stylistic beauty, incorporating a full overboard self-draining cockpit with great directional stability in following seas.
Leeders are renowned for their soft riding dry hulls which can venture 30-40 nautical miles offshore in unkind seas and brings you home safely. The Tom Cat is no exception. Stability, comfort, reliability, durability, combined with the most important "fishability" aspects. The standard shock-absorbing seats gives a sensational ride in those short choppy "any speed is the wrong speed" seas.
The design has accommodated space for four adults to fish one side without the sensation of overheeling. The deck combing is of commercial height with recessed hand grip rails, six stainless rod holders, aerated bait tank, kill tank and a deckwash.
Wide non-slip safety steps up each side of the cabin and a commercial height bow rail makes access to the foredeck a breeze and the diamond shaped pyramid pattern gives very good grip all over the deck walking area.
All side pockets are moulded in high gloss finish with shelving on the forward section made from starboard, creating a very classy look.
The well-planned instrument console incorporates a hydraulic helm to make arm positioning more comfortable.
The imported curved safety glass screens permits windscreen wipers and are designed for unobstructed all round vision, seated or standing.
The Tom Cat maxi towing boat also has a roomy large fully lined and upholstered cabin wtih a toilet included as standard, making overnight stops very comfortable for all on board.
The Tom Cat is also available with full flotation, soft tops, hard tops, targa arch and extension awnings as additional accessories.
